| WHERE THE HUNTERS STAY Tlell River House is situated at the end of Beitush Road in Tlell, Haida Gwaii. Perched on the banks of the Tlell River its friendly quiet facade actually houses the base camp for the trophy hunters who come here to shoot bears. The lodge, locally known as Hell House or the Slaughter House, was once a place where locals gathered for a quiet meal and conversation. And although the lodge has not been open to the public for a couple of years it looks like from their web site that they might be opening again this season. |
