This advertisement was refused by the Provincial government. We thought that by placing an advertisement in the upcoming Hunting and Trapping Regulations we would be able to make hunters aware of the situation here on the Islands. We believe that given the knowledge some hunters will make the choice to not come here to kill bears. Unfortunatley the advertisement didn't meet the Provincial criteria. See below. Quote from the letter of refusal. "Unfortunately the ad doesn't meet our guidelines for ads that we accept for the synopsis. As I'm sure you can understand, the purpose of the synopsis is to communicate hunting and trapping regulations, to increase the public's understanding of government programs and other related topics of interest, and to promote hunting and trapping opportunities. " |
